ERMIS IMPORT

The Import extension implements core import procedures used by Customs Administrations around the globe and covers all major importation areas.

  • Release for Free Circulation
  • All Special Procedures
  • e-Commerce formalities

ERMIS IMPORT provides facilities to Customs Officers for approval of import requests, close supervision of the approved imports while they are being processed and completion of the import procedures. In addition, the bundle supports queries of categorisation, assessment of duties, calculation and registration of income paid or due to be paid.

Moreover, it provides physical and/or document examination suggestions based on risk assessment created by an external risk management subsystem. The import subsystem can be easily adapted to different national needs and is flexible in terms of interfaces to other systems. For example, ERMIS IMPORT interfaces with the Tariff subsystem to automate import duties & taxes (Customs, Excise, Special Tax, VAT, GST, etc.) calculations.

ERMIS EXPORT

The Export extension implements core export procedures used by Customs Administrations around the globe and covers all major exportation areas

  • Export procedures based on typical export and exit summary declarations
  • All Special Procedures
  • Exit/Indirect Exit

ERMIS EXPORT allows Customs Officers to approve export requests and closely follow up approved export procedures until completion. It supports the application of exit formalities and commercial policy measures and, where appropriate, the calculation of export duties.

Similar to the Import bundle, the Export bundle can be easily customised to national needs and is flexible in terms of interfaces to other systems as required.

ERMIS PRECLEARANCE

This component has been created to address the Customs business Processes’ requirements in relation to Pre-Arrival and Pre-Departure formalities. It covers territory entry consignments, Advance Manifest (Entry Summary declaration with Security data), goods Arrival and Presentation notifications, tentatively placed under the Temporary Storage procedure. It also supports the validation, acceptance, cancellation, amendment, control and release of goods for storage or entry respectively. This component, upon territory exit consignments, also processes Export (Exit Summary declaration with Security data) and Exit Manifests, tentatively previously placed under Temporary Storage procedure.

ERMIS TRANSIT

This is the extension component that processes consignments following the Transit regime and supports all relevant formalities of electronic transit declarations and paper transit declarations. Transit is the Customs Regime that governs the movement of goods between two points of the customs territory so that customs duties could be payable to the destination instead of the entrance point of goods.

This bundle covers by design the EU NCTS implementation for European movements, ACTS for ASEAN related movements, as well as any National specific requirements in relation to internal (National) and Regional Transit. In addition, the TIR/ATA procedures are fully supported. ERMIS Transit supports the roles of the Office of Departure, the Office of Transit (and Exit for Transit), the Office of Destination and the Office of Incident Registration. The transit declaration processing includes processes for acceptance, amendment, control, release, cancellation of transit declarations. In addition, it enables the control of goods by communicating with the Office of Destination for arrival notification and destination control results. Of course, this component interfaces with several other supporting components for the completion of transit flow (e.g. risk analysis, guarantee management, validation of Traders, etc.).

ERMIS EXCISE

Another optional extension of the ERMIS family of products is the ERMIS EXCISE bundle. This is the component that processes consignments following the Excise regime of excisable goods under duty suspension in the country or a Union of countries. It records, in real-time, the movement of alcohol, tobacco and energy products for which excise duties have still to be paid and covers the EU EMCS implementation of procedures and business flows as well as any National Excise specific rules and formalities.
