ERMIS CORE Bundle

This is the foundation customs business component that facilitates the orchestration of customs declarations. This is the minimum viable Customs solution that processes consignments, submitted by the trader community over the Trade Enablement, by placing them under the various customs regimes. ERMIS Core is built on a collection of reusable shared microservices to support in the most effective way all Customs formalities, covering the needs of every relevant procedure within a declaration’s life cycle: from submission and validation, through risk assessment and control, to clearance. Furthermore, the CORE bundle comes with a series of shared Assets that serve both by enabling interface of this foundation component with various data sources (such as involved parties, reference data and code lists) as well as by providing toolkits to further customize the platform’s behavior.

ERMIS Shared Assets

ERMIS Party Management

ERMIS Party Management is a sub-system of ERMIS Core bundle that handles all business authorizations for ERMIS components. It acts as a central registry of the users and other parties that interact with ERMIS and holds all relations and authorizations between them. This includes by definition the Management of Authorised Economic Operators (AEO) as well as the management of authorisations that economic operators may be granted to simplify their customs related operations.

The Party Management data module consist of the following main data entities:

  • Internal Users that represent users internal to the system such as Customs Officers and Entities Officers.
  • External Users that represent users external to the system such as Traders and Brokers.
  • Persons that represent physical persons that relate with Organizations and/or other Persons.
  • External Organizations that represent Organizational Units such as Trader Companies that relate with Persons and/or other Organizations.
  • Internal Organizations that represent Customs Offices and Entities that relate with Persons (Customs Officers/Entities Officers) and associate with other Customs Offices.

Where another system exists at national level for maintaining such data, Party Management can communicate with that system for synchronisation purposes. The data is kept up-to-date, complete and synchronised with the central system.

ERMIS Reference Data

Reference Data Management (RDM) is a sub-system of ERMIS.Core which implements the functionality and services related to Reference Data and Customs Authorities Management. The objective of RDM is to provide query services to other components through a centralised repository of a specified set of defined code lists. Each code list of the repository has mutable codes applicable to given periods of time. For each code list maintained in the repository, RDM provides management services allowing the addition of new codes, the editing of existing codes, and the editing of validity period applicable to each code. Deletion services are intentionally not provided. Once a code is created for specific code list, it cannot be deleted, but instead it can be updated to invalid.

ERMIS Forms Manager

Forms manager is a newly introduced asset of ERMIS which handles all the platform’s forms. It provides an easy way to create and edit forms of any type (declaration forms, work task forms, search forms etc.) from a drag n' drop web interface. This tool enables a high level of customization and configurability, allowing the implementation of each individual component the necessary flexibility to cover specific National needs.
